Greeley Creative District

Makers Mercantile & Studio is honored to have been featured in Greeley Creative District's Local Spotlight by Dana Buckingham. Dana explains what got us motivated to start Makers, what each of the five owners contribute, and how our studio and mercantile benefit local artists by providing them a place to display, sell, and teach their craft.

So, what is a creative district?

The Greeley Creative District is a 501 c 3 non-profit board that exists to "highlight the community’s distinctive creative identity and increase its economic vitality by uplifting, encouraging, incubating, promoting, and developing the arts and creative businesses in the Greeley community." The district helps visitors and community members know what's available and going on within their boundaries - which encompass the downtown neighborhoods between 3rd street and 16th street and the University of Northern Colorado's campus.

How can I learn more about what's going on Downtown?

Visit the Greeley Creative District's Events page to see various events going on and to be linked to the events calendars of the Greeley Downtown Development Authority, UNC Arts, and The City of Greeley.

Thank you again to the Creative District and Dana Buckingham for featuring our new small business and for everything you do to support creatives in our community!
