Kinusaiga is a traditional Japanese no-sew fabric art that resembles quilting, stained glass or a mosaic. Using a simple cut and tuck technique, you'll create a beautiful picture of a hummingbird with vibrant colored fabrics. You will receive step by step instructions throughout the workshop to ensure an enjoyable experience.

Your finished 5x5 kinusaiga will be uniquely yours, reflecting your personal style and creativity through your choice of fabrics and color combinations. All supplies will be provided including an optional wood frame.

Welcome to The Creative Connection! I’m Michelle, a retired kindergarten/special education teacher. After being out of the classroom for a while I realized that I really missed teaching. I decided to start hosting these creative workshops to help fill that void. It was one of the best decisions I ever made! I enjoy seeing all the creativity and new friendships formed at every workshop!
